NICOLE Kemp is pleased to announce her wedding dress from Whoopies Boutique is safely in the hands of a dressmaker.

Ms Kemp ordered her wedding dress, two suits and two flowergirls dresses from the Warrnambool store which  closed suddenly two weeks ago.

She told her story after The Standard  revealed the weddings plans of a number of women had been shattered by the closure.

When Ms Kemp went to the store for a dress fitting, she was surprised to find it was empty.

``It was a bit daunting,'' she said.

``I started to think `Oh no, what do I do now'?''  Ms Kemp received a missed call from an unknown mobile number and assumed it was store owner Judith Cook.

After several phone calls went unanswered, she decided to send a text message.

Fortunately, a reply from Ms Cook was received which told the bride-to-be that her dresses would be forwarded to her that day.

Ms Kemp said Ms Cook was very friendly. Ms Kemp   encouraged those with orders from Whoopies Boutique to  contact Mrs Cook.

``I encourage girls to give it a go,'' Ms Kemp said.

``I feel sorry for her if she is ill and if there is a legit reason why this has happened,'' she said.   ``If she did come forward and explain the situation, people would understand.''

Ms Kemp's dresses and suits arrived in the post a week ago, ending her worries about what she would wear when she walked down the aisle for her wedding to James Gregory on September 29.

Ms Kemp's two sons, Bowen, 10, and Bailey, 8, will give her away on her special day.

Ms Kemp, whose first husband died tragically four years ago, said she was looking forward to spending her life with Mr Gregory who she met 12 months to the day of their marriage.

``We just hit it off,'' she said.
